This terrific trail camp combines the best of two worlds. We have been intensly exploring the eastern part of the Alps for some years. During those years we’ve grown fond of Soča valley and the Friuli. This area has become my favorite place, with its breathtakingly beautiful and extremely versatile landscapes. The alpine downhill trails through the Kanin mountains are rough, wild, sparse and technically challenging. The views on the surrounding summits, such as Mangart or the Montasio high plateau are just insane! They are not only rocky and rough.
The deeply green forests in the valley hide enduro trails, which flow endlessly through the woods and finally end up in a variety of trails. This is the dream! Some hundreds of metres above the Soča valley, we’ll stay in a luxury accommodation for 3 nights, where we can have a nice barbecue on the terrace, while watching the sun set behind the Matajur’s summit. Speaking of the Matajur, almost 14 km of awesome, endless trails in Italy’s direction await us at this mountain. The trails were built by locals with a lot of effort and passion. You won’t stop grinning, I promise! Great views over Po Valley to the sea. The area around Tolmezzo offers so many astonishing trails, so we definitely won’t get bored. It’ll most probably be hard to just chose one of them.
In the Julian Prealps we’ll find bikers’ paradise: high alpine freeriding above the tree line with wide and deep views. Once we reach the woods, we’ll fly through countless bends heading towards the valley floor. Central Carnia is probably the most captivating spot of the whole area. A secret! You’ll be surprised what we’ll find here and you’ll never forget this place! Our accommodation is located in a small village where a nice trail and a georgeous slow food restaurant are just around the corner.
So, come and join us on our adventure in this beautiful region. Explore & Enjoy!
